Wirksworth Festival is a major cultural event in the East Midlands, promoting the work of artists and designer makers to a national audience.
Every September our celebrated Art & Architecture Trail Weekend sees the town of Wirksworth come alive with street theatre, music, film, contemporary visual art and craft.
Over 4,000 people visit the town to enjoy the Art & Architecture Trail, where over 150 artists and designer makers exhibit in more than 70 venues.
Overall, in 2014, artists took at least £40,000 in sales and more work was commissioned. 95% of artists thought the Festival was either “excellent” or “good”; 86% said their visitor numbers were either “excellent” or “good” and 74% are likely to apply to exhibit again.
