Wirksworth Festival is a registered charity (no.1169297). The Festival is organised and run by a small team of part time staff and volunteers.
We do not have any major external funding but instead rely on support from Wirksworth Town Council, local businesses, small grants, in-kind support and your donations.
Donations, no matter how large or small, are very gratefully received and enable us to deliver one of the UK’s leading rural arts festivals – bringing superb contemporary visual and performing arts to the region, supporting up and coming talent and graduates, plus engaging and encouraging participation with local people.
Don’t forget you can also support the Festival by becoming a member!
Here are some examples of how your donation could help us:
£10 could help us host events to engage with the local community
£50 could help fund an artist to deliver school workshops in preparation for our Community Celebration
£100 would cover the cost of the Gerry Vaughan Award prize money for a sixth form art student, helping them with the next phase of their journey as an artist
£500 would go a very long way in helping us to deliver our top quality contemporary arts festival!
