The Curated Exhibition

This year’s Curated Exhibition is Veneercurated by Louisa Chambers and Emily Strange.

Over the last few years the Festival has invited artists to curate an exhibition of contemporary visual art, bringing together works of a conceptual nature around a set theme, offering a programme of high quality work which aims to be ambitious, accessible and thought provoking.

Nottingham Trent University artists and researchers Louisa Chambers and Dr Emily Strange have brought together a group of diverse artists from around the country whose practices play with themes of domesticity, display and concealment, and architectural space.

Alongside Louisa and Emily will be artists Conor Hurford, Laura McCafferty, Ian Whitfield, Zoe Mendelson, David Penny, Gabriel Tejada, Craig Fisher, Demi Levi and Tessa Lynch.

The Curated Exhibition runs 9, 10, 16 & 17 September in St Mary’s Church and the Parish Room and is supported using public funding by Arts Council England.
