An exciting new addition to the festival.  The Fringe is not selected, everybody has the chance to take part, new talent is fostered and audiences have the chance to see a truly diverse programme of events.  

We issue an invitation to individual artists and producers to locate and mount their own productions – just what Wirksworth people have been doing for years in fact - and the response has been great, with 27 events in the very first year.  You’ll find a galaxy of festival regulars and favourites, alongside work by new and emerging artists.

The 2011 Festival featured an exciting programme of dance, drama, classical and contemporary music, performance and talks.
