Wirksworth Festival recruited Abby Johnson Brennan to the Board in August 2011 and Abby was appointed as Chair in November 2011.  Unfortunately Abby has had to resign her position as Chair of the Festival after accepting the position to lead the Plymouth Cultural Partnership which will drive a new marine festival in 2013.

Kathy Harvey has taken on the role of Acting Vice-Chair pending the appointment of a new Chair.  Kathy has been a board member for five years, primarily supporting operational activity, business planning and development of the Festival Board.  Kathy has a business background gained at Rolls Royce plc.  She lives in Wirksworth. 

Bill Lounds will continue as a Board Member.  He is very keen to develop more opportunities for volunteers to support the Festival, particularly on the Visual Arts strand. 

Pam Butler has resigned from the Wirksworth Festival Board after five years of fantastic effort on PR and Marketing.  The Board want to thank Pam for her support and dedication and wish her well.
