Psychicbread
a conspiracy to fuse poetry and music
Friday 17th Sept
Four times fringe-award winners, Mark Gwynne Jones and the Psychicbread use poetry, music and tragic comedy as their messenger. From the girl who spent too long on a sunbed to the joys of driving a Sherman Tank at rush hour…their sound is contagious, gritty and sometimes startlingly sensitive.
Heres what some people have said about the Psychicbread show:
"New musical theatre… a rewarding, exotic experience, not to be missed. Billed as Spoken Word, this underplays the complexity of Marks unique genre. His stories are imaginatively enhanced by an evocative sound-track created by the music, percussion, and vocals of Psychicbread and the effect is spell-binding."
Sarah Jones, Oxford Festival Fringe
"Inspired… one of the most accomplished performance poets in the land. His wide-eyed delivery drawing the audience into a world where things are not quite what they seem."
The Guardian
