Vernacular Intervention

Branthwaite’s installation is a radical Modernist intervention in a vernacular building – a field barn at the National Stone Centre. Attaching high gloss aluminium ducting, Branthwaite will restore the appearance of function to a previously functional building, which has changed over time from functional to aesthetic object.
