Landscape partnership scheme DerwentWISE are looking for artists to help them celebrate success
DerwentWISE are creating a touring artwork to celebrate the project’s achievement and they’re looking for an artist or group of artists interested in taking on the work.
Set up to care for the landscape of the Lower Derwent Valley, DerwentWISE have undertaken a number of projects with different partners in its bid to help to conserve and restore features of natural and cultural importance, and create opportunities for greater access and learning about the landscape and its heritage.
The artwork will tour places in the Derwent Valley area and include its main presentation at celebrations at Cromford Mill in March 2019.
Jo Wheeler, DerwentWISE’s Community Engagement Officer for Arts & Interpretation, said:
“We’re looking for a piece that is playful and engaging which communicates the scale, scope, ambition and achievements of DerwentWISE.”
