Entries sought for new film festival that will showcase some of tomorrow’s filmmakers
Being able to get your tale across in three-minutes is a real art. As part of this year’s celebratory Festival line-up, the first-ever Wirksworth 3 Minute Film Festival is the chance to see work from some of the young talents and rising stars out there.
The brainchild of local resident and filmmaker Stuart Wheeldon, the film festival will showcase entries from the UK and other parts of the globe over the weekend of 15 – 16 September. The films will be shown at different venues around the town over including The Feather Star, Royal Oak and Town Hall.
Working in partnership with iPitchTV amongst others, the idea is to help in the search for tomorrow’s new filmmakers and promote young filmmakers by providing them with an audience. The film festival is open to 18 – 25 year olds from the UK and international entries. More details on the festival and how to enter can be found at wirksworth3minfilmfest.co.uk.
Further details of screenings will be published in the coming weeks.
