Following the success of Michael Shaw’s 2019 residency, we’re seeking applicants for this year’s Lodge Project.

Following on from the success of Michael Shaw as the Festival’s first artist-in-residence, we’re delighted to announce that The Lodge Project will continue for the second year running.

We’re looking for an established artist with a minimum of 5 years’ experience, working in a two dimensional medium, to undertake a funded residency in the Derbyshire Dales from July to September 2020.  We’re also looking for an artist that doesn’t already know the area – our aim is that the outcomes of the residency will reflect the local landscape, diverse architecture, industrial past and community from an outsider’s point of view.
