An update on the Festival in light of the Coronavirus situation. Applications to exhibit are still open.
Wirksworth Festival Coronavirus Update
We wanted to update you on discussions the Festival team have had in light of the Coronavirus situation.
As you know Wirksworth Festival takes place in September and we’re hoping that by then, we’ll all be able to enjoy much needed cultural events again. For now we have decided to carry on as planned and review our plans again in 6-8 weeks’ time, taking into account the situation at that time.
In the meantime, applications for artists to exhibit during the Art & Architecture Trail weekend (12-13 September) are still open and the deadline remains as Friday 24 April. Please be reassured that should the Festival not go ahead this year, we will offer refunds for the submission fee and following our selection process in early May, we will not charge the exhibition fee for selected artists until we’re sure the Festival will go ahead.
For 2020 there will also be no commission payable on sales made by artists over the Trail weekend.
