A HUGE thank you to everyone that has helped make this year’s Festival a smaller-than-usual, but still very special one!

With the closing of the Online Art Prize Gallery & Shop, this year’s Festival has now come to an end.  We would like to give a HUGE thank you to everyone that has helped make this year’s Festival a smaller-than-usual, but still very special one! To all the artists, performers and talk-givers, our members, volunteers, supporters and trustees and of course our audiences!

Over 1000 people came to see our exhibitions and enjoy the programme of performances and talks.

The Online Art Prize saw 800 entries from nearly 300 artists and over 12,000 votes for the People’s Prize.

You can still enjoy this year’s Festival film, TOUCH STONE: Liane Lang’s residency for Wirksworth Festival by Tom Dwyer – a beautifully shot short film of an artist exploring their practice in the Derbyshire landscape.

And now we’re looking forward to bringing Wirksworth Festival back as you know and love it for 2022.

We are also very proud to have the support of local business, Longcliffe Quarries LTD for their sponsorship of the Online Art Prize & the People’s Prize Vote dedicated to Stella Feldman. We are also very grateful for the support of Wirksworth Town Council, St Mary’s Church, Wirksworth, the Ampersand Foundation, Ian Bell Wealth Management and Turners Art.
