The project was an investigation into the way that memories fade over time – examining how colour, texture and shape alters. The inspiration for the concept was predominantly worn garments and weathered buildings. The physical changes symbolised the way that the memories associated with the garment had also been lost. This led to more research focused on clothes that had become faded, stained or worn away, at a textile archive. As a progression of this theme, my photographic research expanded and I looked at floors, brick work and painted wood where the colour had been bleached.
