The highly considered forms that I make are simple and precisely thrown but with spontaneous making marks.
Complex surfaces develop from firing the work with wood and soda glazing; flame and ash painting the work.
I use my own blend of high temperature firing clays which are chosen to promote flashing and glaze effects in the kiln.
Sustainability is important; I use found materials to make glazes and waste wood as fuel.
