My collection draws inspiration from the geometric and block patterns of Bauhaus textiles. By using large blocks to compliment intricate shapes I have created avariety of woven designsinvestigating the concepts of scale and line. I have used a colour pallet of subtle earthy hues with accent colours to enhancement the complex patterning. This collection shows a diverse range of woven techniques including the traditional Galician process called Felpa. I have used this method to create graphic, textured fabrics that offer contrasts to the lightweight silk and cotton pieces in the rest of the collection.
