Fiona Kingdon
Intricate scrollwork in wood

Festival: 2019

I explore the imagery in timber’s natural grain or simply weave the beauty of wood into my designs. I live in land locked Northamptonshire, but treasure trees, mountains and most of all the sea. I create pieces suggested by the wood I find, the landscapes I love, their inhabitants, and their stories.

I work in native and rescued timbers and over many hours of skilful hand cutting with a scrollsaw, intricate landscapes, silhouettes and keepsakes emerge from the wood.

Most content when at my saw, I am determined to skilfully make something beautiful and one of a kind.
