Festival: 2015

As a British-Ukrainian artist living in the Peak District, I want to hear the stories and tales of the people dwelling here and, through art, capture the relationship people have with the land they walk, live and work on. I draw using my sewing machine with no prior drawing, sketching or tracing. I seek inspiration and influence from photographers/artists who capture rare and real moments as they happen. This recognisably different and contemporary collection of artwork is sewn onto tulle netting, then beautifully framed floating between two pieces of museum quality glass giving a unique depth and presence.
