Festival: 2015

Inspired by the linear growth patterns, formations and textures found in nature, my knitted textile and paper art captures these delicate yet complex fractal structures, in a sensitive and subtle way. Ranging from large scale textile lengths, to tiny hand cut paper fragments my work explores and emphasises the beauty in the subtle details in the world around us, which can often go overlooked, in an ethereal and other-worldly manner. My exploration of knit techniques and unconventional materials, such as wire and paper, both intrigues and surprises the viewer. Presenting an experimental and contemporary approach to traditional crafting techniques.
