Festival: 2016

After several years of formal art training at school and college, painting and drawing became a hobby in my spare time. Currently, my main focus is representing aspects of the natural world, particularly woodland, clouds and skies in textiles, using fabric applique, or composing pictures of wool. The content, shapes and patterns I produce are a result of me spending many hours outdoors and in woodlands. I then attempt to recreate both the irregularities and patterns in nature through manipulating the qualities of fabric, or submitting my image to the helplessly random felting process.
