Keith Duncan

Festival: 2019

I will exhibit a combination of figurative and landscape art.

My figurative art is developed from direct life studies which attempt to accurately record the physiology of the sitter with an emphasis on strong compositional elements. Line and tonal contrast are important to effectively covey shape, form and mass, combined with an attempt to show subtlety and unique qualities of flesh through a range of vibrant colours.

My landscape art shows an interest in how we perceive landscape as horizontal patterns of colour and light, broken by vertical lines or structures which break the composition down into smaller observable segments.
