Using porcelain clay I create decorative wall pieces, vessels and jewellery inspired by the landscape, flora and fauna of the beautiful Derbyshire countryside surrounding my home. The imagery is drawn free hand into the soft clay, following a bisque firing in an electric kiln, resist, oxide and glaze is applied carefully to give life to the image through colour, detail and contrast. The pieces are then fired to 1250 degrees.
