Festival: 2020

I have worked in Wirksworth for about 30 years, mostly involved in Public Art Commissions. The most recent being a “rampant Lion” for a private development In Maidenhead. It is a 3-dimensional interpretation of The White lion of Prague,

an award given to Nicholas Winton of Kinder Transport fame by the Czech Government shortly before he died. He lived in the town after the war.

The maquette on display for the Festival is a preliminary piece which helped in the making of three giant winged chair sculptures which can be seen in Kirkby Town Centre, Knowsley.
