Robert Evans

Festival: 2022

I have painted four diverse landscapes which inspire me for very different reasons:
one from my balcony during Storm Eunice
one from the top deck of a London bus
one toward the Isle of Grain power station which my grandfather helped to build
one of the hump-backed bridge to Chatsworth lloking towards Paine’s ruined corn mill
Each of them are united by my fascination for light and how it plays on both natural and man-made landscapes
I painted them in oils with large brushes and thick paint on mdf panels.
