My work explores the ever-changing landscape of the Peak District and beyond- light, seasonal colours and weather. I work in layers of pastel or charcoal on specialist papers. I am an associate artist with the leading pastel makers- Unison Pastels and have my own range of pastels. I have won The Buxton Spa Prize and exhibited with The Pastel Society. Most recently I have had a solo show at Brantwood, Ruskin’s home in the Lake District. I teach in my studio in Buxton and also teach pastel workshops around the country, including annually at The Ashmolean Museum.
