I paint landscapes that I find around me, at home near Die or wherever I travel. I have recently spent time in Arizona, Mexico and on the coast of France and so I have done many watercolors during my travels and then translate them into oils when I return to my studio. I am not really interested in realism but I am usually more interested in a figurative subject. But then the abstract elements take over : composition, color, values. I like doing portraits and figures also but it is harder to move away from likeness, so they can be very demanding.
