Festival: 2016

As the seasons change our visual landscape changes, in this new collection of work i hope to capture some of those chance glimpses, exploring the overgrown and windows into our past.

Natural forms such as branches, shrubs and foliage begin to create their own unique shapes as rich colours created by light pass through their structures. all works are a mixture of materials but predominantly oil paint. The paintings are built up using thin washes to establish form and space and then worked over with oils, varnish and in some cases pastels to add to the sense of depth.
