I find inspiration in the natural environment and the connections people have with it. I am particularly inspired by the coast and the natural and unnatural objects that make up a beach and wash up on the strand line. As a beachcomber I collect whatever catches my eye. I represent curated collections of these finds in frames, photographs and handmade books that reflect my interpretation of the spirit of that place. The work I make from beach plastic keeps that connection to place, transforming something that has been lost or discarded into something that people might value again.
